2. What do?
Off C&M - Currently Team Lead Realtime Art & 3D for Sector 5 Digital. Previously a Surfacing/Texture artist for films, shorts, commercials, rides, VR experiences and just about anything else you can think of.
On C&M - Modeling Lead/Certified Vert pusher and destroyer of UVs
3. What do I do in my spare time?
Spend time with my family.
4. A Motto you live by?
Slow is smooth, smooth is fast.
5. What's my favourite cake?
I am more of a pie kind of guy. Mmmmm pie......
6. Why did I decide to work on an independent project?
I grew tired of using my gift for evil deeds and decided to use it for good. That and this project seems fun :)
7. What advice would I give to others considering working on side projects in their spare time?
Do it only if it is a project that you support and that moves you. It is hard working on projects in your free time. It is even hard if you don't really believe in the vision of the project. Also, when you think about how many hours you have to dedicate to a side project, figure out your number and then cut it in half. It is better to say 5 hours and do 10 than to say 20, try for 10 and only do 5.
8. What have I learnt from working on Cat & Moth?
I have learned that making a short film is hard. I have also learned how important it is to have people be focused and continue to motivate people. India has done an amazing job of keeping people on track without it being a bother. I have learned a lot from her and try to incorporate that in to how I manage and motivate people.
9. Ditto or Monty?
I want to be more like Monty but I feel I am usually Ditto.
